Are You Tired of Feeling Tired? — Sensitivity/Allergy/Fatigue

ACUPUNCTURE, ALLERGIES, WELLNESS

Fatigue, lethargy, foggy brain and dull headaches are a definite sign that something is wrong with one’s health. Fatigue is often the “canary in the coal mines” when it comes to awareness of health conditions, and it often signals that we are developing sensitivity to the environment. Many people develop sensitivities before they experience an allergic reaction to any particular thing.

Please note, allergy and sensitivity are not the same thing. Allergy is a disorder of the immune system. Typically, an allergic reaction to normally harmless substances is predictable, rapid and severe, and in some instances can become life threatening. Allergies tend to run in families and one is more likely to have a particular allergy if one or more parents have it.

Sensitivity is acquired over time. This is a normal reaction of the immune system to an overload of environmental factors and lifestyle choices. Overtime, it will manifest allergy-like symptoms. Most people are suffering from some kind of sensitivity.

Food sensitivity is becoming increasingly common, as the foods in our environment have been modified from their essential state, or, even worse, when they are treated with chemicals, processed and refined.

When a person is suffering from fatigue, it is essential that their diet and lifestyle be examined carefully to piece together the individual pattern of disease. Fortunately, Traditional Chinese medicine is effective in diagnosing and treating fatigue and allergy-related symptoms. Diet and lifestyle changes may be essential to correct these problems, in conjunction with acupuncture, and Chinese herbal treatments.

If you are tired of feeling tired, and want to regain your vitality, and your health, I encourage you to make an appointment to explore treatment options.
