Acupuncture Cost

ACUPUNCTURE

What will my treatments cost?

his is the second most frequently asked question that I am asked. I think there are two very good answers; the first being the dollars-and-cents one, so the answer is straightforward and quantitative: In my clinic I charge:

Medical Acupuncture:
$130 first visit
$80 for follow-up appointments

Cosmetic Acupuncture (face, neck or belly):
$150 per visit (with 10 sessions required to achieve results)

* Re: Insurance — Some insurance companies cover acupuncture, and the number grows daily. Currently, patients pay me at the day of service and I provide paperwork with codes of treatments and diagnosis (superbill) and patients submit it for reimbursement.

The second answer to “What does acupuncture cost?” is qualitative: It relates to the benefits of treatment over the actual time and money invested. What is the return on one’s investment for acupuncture?

Since acupuncture seeks to balance the body’s energy systems, there are often many benefits for the whole person. Benefits that go beyond the initial condition that brought a patient to seek medical care. Acupuncture improves health and the quality of life , and promotes wellness. It addresses stress reduction, pain relief, improved and faster recovery from injury, illness and surgery, improved athletic & business performance, emotional balance, and promotes a strengthened immune system.

When these considerations are evaluated, my patients tell me that the value of acupuncture… the cost of feeling good, really good, is priceless!

This is what one patient had to say on YELP

I have had problems with my hips, back and shoulders post pregnancy. It’s been 10 years since the birth of my first child, and I unfortunately ignored the problems for many years. About 5 years ago, I started working with several therapists (physical therapists, personal trainers, chiropractor) so that I could start running again. I’ve made progress, but the basic problems have been too difficult to address.

I started seeing Natalie about a month ago and I have been surprised at how helpful she has been. (I was a bit skeptical about acupuncture and hesitant to try it.) Now I wish I had started 5 years ago. For my particular problem of bad alignment, Natalie has been extremely effective.
